Thailand composes with many different cultures. Because, there are many Thai race live in Thailand together. Each majority and minority has their own culture, life style and language.

Northern people generally call themselves khon mueang (Thai:ฅนเมือง). They speak north language or คำเมือง [kham muang]) dialect, It’s a bit slow and melodious. Most people are Buddhists. Their skin is white.

Northeast is a largest part of Thailand, border connects to Laos and Cambodia. That’s why Thai people in Northeast some speak Thai-Laos dialect some speak Thai-Khmer dialect. A majority religion is Buddhist. They have white and tan skin.

13] Hill tribes:

Thailand border connect to Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Malaysia. Along border, there are hill tribes or in term of Thai called ชาวเขา[chao-khao], group of people who live at hill area. Most of them inhabit between the Northern and Northeastern region of Thailand and Myanmar (Burma) and Laos respectively. They sometimes remote their villages from one to other areas between border of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. These areas are in mountainous terrain and very thick forests that deep far from general inhabit area. The major hill tribes in Thailand are at six majorities. They are the Akha[อาข่า], Lahu[ลาหู่], Mien/Yao[เมี่ยน/เย้า], Lisu[ลีซู], Karen[กระเหรี่ยง], and Hmong/Miao[ม้ง/เหมียว]. Each hill tribes has his owned distinct language and culture.
